New guide published: the Daitozan Art Museum and its matcha experience
The Daitozan Art Museum, a 7-minute drive (about 4 km) from the house, is the former residence of the Murayama family — sake brewers and village headmen for nearly 700 years — and is known for its ties to the novelist Ango Sakaguchi.
Its matcha experience (¥1,200 with a handmade nerikiri sweet, plus ¥600 admission) lets you whisk your own bowl in a 120-year-old tatami room overlooking the garden. A dedicated section and a full guide page are now live on our site.
